Les remparts - The rampards

"The Ramparts" is a tribute to the historic walls of Essaouira, a coastal Moroccan city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. These fortifications, standing tall against the Atlantic Ocean, reflect a rich history shaped by cultural exchanges, maritime life, and military defense. Through this painting, I aim to convey the strength, memory, and poetry of these ancient stones, which have witnessed centuries of human passage and the winds of the open sea.
